Introduction

Every retailer wants to deploy an application that is user friendly and at the same time is cost effective. Tagrain is one such application. In this section, we are going to cover some of the most common questions that you may have in effectively setting up Tagrain for your business. The settings explained below are part of Application Settings in the Setup section.
  1. How do I change the currency symbol?
  2. Where is the default currency set in the application? Can it be changed?
  3. How are time zones and date formats handled?

Tagrain has grouped all the settings under the Application Settings section for ease of use.

How Do I Change The Currency Symbol?

To change the currency mapping, navigate to Setup > General Settings > System Display Settings and pick the appropriate currency type from the drop-down list. Once done, you may click the save button. 



Where Is The Default Currency Set In The Application? Can It Be Changed?

The default currency is located under the System Display Settings. Yes, it can be changed.

To change this setting in Tagrain, navigate to Setup > General Settings > System Display Settings and pick the appropriate currency type from the drop-down list.


Once done, click the save button. 

How Are Time Zones And Date Formats Handled?

Setting up a Time Zone is controlled via the System Display Settings. Navigate to Setup > General Settings > System Display Settings and pick the appropriate time zone from the drop-down list.

You can type the desired date format in the “date time format” box. An example of the date time format would look something like: MM/DD/YYYY, hh:mm:ss a.



Once done, click the save button. 

Can I Change The Default Date Format In The Application?

Yes, we can change the default date format in the application via the System Display Settings. In some parts of the world, the date format is in DD/MM/YY whereas in some other parts the date format is in MM/DD/YY.

Navigate to Setup > General Settings > System Display Settings and type the desired date format. An example of the date time format would look something like: DD/MM/YYYY, hh:mm:ss a.


Once done, click the save button.

Can We Set The Date To Be Displayed In DD/MM/YY Format?

Yes, the date can be displayed in DD/MM/YY format. Navigate to Setup > General Settings > System Display Settings and type the desired date format.

An example of the date time format would look something like: MM/DD/YYYY


Once done, click the save button. 

How Can We Set A Time Zone?

Time Zone and Dates are controlled via the System Display Settings.

Navigate to Setup > General Settings > System Display Settings and pick the appropriate time zone from the drop-down list.


Can I create my own series for Customers, Vendors and Products?

Yes, it is possible to set the series for Products, Customers, and Vendors.

The application comes with a predefined series definition. You can edit the series as per your preference.

Navigate to Setup > General Settings > Global Settings and fill in the appropriate fields.



Once done, click the save button.
