Unbox your Ingenico Link 2500 device
In the Ingenico Link 2500 device box you should find the following:

Power ON your Ingenico Link 2500 device
Lift the flap on the side of the Link/2500 covering the charging port and plug one end of the USB-C cable into the charging port and the other end of the USB-C cable into the power supply. Once done, plug the power supply into a power outlet.
The Link/2500 will automatically turn on when connected to power. However, if it is powered down, press the green button to power on the device:
Wait 1 – 2 minutes until the reader displays the Device logo.

If you are setting up the Link/2500 for the first time, allow it to charge for at least 4 hours.

After initial setup, it takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge the battery when it is depleted.

Your Link 2500 is shipped with DHCP enabled, which means that when you connect to your network switch/ router, the router automatically assigns your device an IP address.
Connect to WiFi
Once the Link 2500 is on, press 0-0-0-1, to access the ADMIN MENU.
Press "2" on the keypad to select WiFi Parameters.
If WiFi is not enabled select “Enable”.
Select “Scan Networks”. Select your access point’s SSID from the provided list.
Enter your network’s WiFi password then press the green Enter key.
Restart your Link/2500 by pressing the yellow button and the # key

Create a Payment Type
When you activate the Elavon Payment Processor plugin, an additional option for the Elavon is created and appears in the Payment Type drop-down.
You then need to configure the Elavon Payment Type to map the Elavon payment device to your POS terminal to be able to accept credit and debit card payments.
Steps to map the Elavon Payment Type to the POS Terminal
You must map the Elavon payment type that you just created to your POS terminal to be able to accept credit and debit card payments using the Elavon Payment Device.
The steps to map the Elavon payment type are explained below:
Step 1. Navigate to Home > Setup > Store Management. This will open the Store Management screen.
Step 2. Click on the POS button to open the POS List View Screen. This screen displays a list of POS already defined in the application.
Step 3. Click on the Edit button on the POS List View Screen to open the settings page for the corresponding POS. You should see the Payment Device ID field.
Step 4. Click on the Generate button next to the Payment Device ID field. This will open the Elavon Device ID Generation pop up screen.
Step 5. Enter the Device Pairing Code and the Device Friendly Name in the respective fields. Click the Save button.
The Device Pairing Code is displayed on the device when you power on the device. For the Device Friendly Name, you can specify a name of your choice. For illustration we have specified Link 2500.
When you click the Save button, on the Elavon Device ID Generation pop up screen, the Elavon Payment Device Id is generated and populated in the Payment Device ID field.
